Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your use of the Word of Mic platform and services provided by IKPLLC, trading as Word of Mic.

Effective October 6, 2026

1. Agreement and eligibility

By creating an account, purchasing a membership, or continuing to use Word of Mic, you agree to these Terms and contract with IKPLLC (“IKPLLC,” “Word of Mic,” “we,” or “us”). You must be legally able to enter this agreement. If acting for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind it.

2. The service and your licence

Word of Mic provides infrastructure for programming, booking, managing, promoting, verifying, and measuring live performances, including marketing templates, AI-assisted artwork, and Verified Performance Records. Subject to these Terms and your selected plan, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the service for your internal business or professional purposes.

3. Accounts and information

You must provide accurate, current information, safeguard account credentials, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account.

4. Acceptable use

You must not use the service to:

  • break any law, facilitate fraud, spam, harassment, hate, exploitation, or deceptive conduct;
  • infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
  • upload malware, probe security, scrape at scale, bypass access controls, or disrupt the service;
  • reverse engineer, resell, redistribute, or circumvent plan or technical limits;
  • create unlawful deepfakes, impersonation, malware, or content intended to mislead people about a person or event; or
  • jailbreak, manipulate, or abuse AI safeguards or content moderation.

5. Your content and AI artwork

You retain your rights in event details, prompts, artwork inputs, and other content you submit. You grant IKPLLC a limited licence to host, process, reproduce, and display that content only as needed to operate and improve the service. You confirm you have all necessary rights and permissions for submitted content.

AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or similar to material generated for others. You are responsible for reviewing outputs, verifying event facts, and ensuring your final use is lawful and does not infringe third-party rights. Outputs are not professional legal, financial, tax, or other regulated advice.

We may filter or refuse prompts, remove or restrict content, and suspend accounts to protect users, rights holders, or the service. Rights holders may send a detailed infringement notice to hello@wordofmic.com. Repeated infringement may result in termination.

6. Our intellectual property

IKPLLC owns Word of Mic, including its software, interfaces, documentation, template systems, branding, and related intellectual property. No ownership transfers to you. References to classic design traditions describe inspiration only and do not grant rights in third-party works or brands.

7. Payments, subscriptions, taxes, cancellation, and refunds

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, renewal, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle’s Buyer Terms. Current membership details appear on our membership page and at checkout. Access may continue through the paid period after cancellation. Our Refund Policy also applies.

8. Service availability

We work to provide a reliable service, but do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation, or that all features and generated outputs will always be available. We may maintain, update, modify, or discontinue features.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, non-payment, security or fraud risk, repeated or serious policy violations, or where required by law. You may stop using the service at any time. After termination, access ends and we may delete or anonymize data according to our retention practices, subject to legal obligations and reasonable export opportunities where available.

10. Warranties and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and without implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. IKPLLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, IKPLLC’s aggregate liability arising from the service will not exceed the fees you paid to IKPLLC through Paddle during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where applicable.

11. Indemnity

You will indemnify IKPLLC against third-party claims arising from your content, unlawful use, infringement, or material breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

12. General terms

Neither party is liable for delay caused by events beyond reasonable control. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale. If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder remains effective. The governing law and courts will be those applicable to IKPLLC’s principal place of business, without overriding mandatory consumer protections in your location.

13. Contact and changes

We may update these Terms and will post the revised effective date. Material changes will be communicated where required. Questions may be sent to hello@wordofmic.com.
